battlefield community garden

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

for about 6 months now a group of resident in battlefield (southside) have been transforming a bit of derelict land into the area. so far we’ve planted around 300 bulbs, a couple of fruit bushes and built a composting area. next we’re making raised beds.
the garden doesn’t have ‘permission’ and is completely done by volunteers with no funding, not a lot of time but lots of love.
if anyone lives in the battlefield/langside area you’d be welcome to join us.

our website is www.urbanroots.org.uk

get in touch to get involved, and it’d be great to help out on other people’s projects too. may make it up to drumchapel you never know.

Heading to the Southside?

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

We have been asked a few times about doing some Guerrilla Gardening down in the South Side of town. We would be up for doing that anytime!

All we need is a site to work at, so if you know of anywhere, please get in touch.
